About

Specifics aims/mission of this workshop:
1) To draw attention to this scientific intersection and the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine needs of patients with neuroscience diseases,
2) To highlight local investigators working on research projects in this focus area,
3) To identify nascent strengths to be developed within the TMC and greater Houston area, and
4) To assemble cross-institutional Disease Teams that can be integrated into broader, newly launched Texas Medical Center initiative for regenerative medicine.

To accomplish this mission, we are developing a full day of keynote lectures, oral and posters presentations, and small breakout groups discussions describing research investigations into regenerative medicine applications for neuroscience and neuroengineering.

Sponsorship:
This event is sponsored by the Gulf Coast Consortia for Quantitative Biomedical Sciences (gulfcoastconsortia.org) and a John S. Dunn Collaborative Event Award.

Organizers:
The John S. Dunn Collaborative Event Award was awarded in 2014 for a “TMC-GCC Collaborative Workshop: Regenerative Medicine in Neuroscience and Neuroengineering.” The collaborative team includes:
